More About Our Story...

Delilah is an electric guitar that was built in Upstate NY in 2007 as a project by my father and I when he added a wood shop to his home. Even though neither of us had done anything quite like this, we were determined to find a way. Once Delilah was created, we were inspired to share her with people in the world.  As part of our effort to promote healing through music, we are attempting to set a world record for the most people to play one specific instrument, Delilah. We hope to have musicians from all over the world put some of their positive energy into Delilah.

DelilahSong is simply a culmination of all who participate, every chord; every note is to remind us we together can make a difference in our world for the better. We invite anyone and everyone who is willing, to play Delilah in an effort to create and sustain a literal healing instrument. We will share the positive vibes and healing nature of music through Delilah to those in need of hope and healing by bringing Delilah to them in person as well as via the internet. This is a community based project which we hope will have a positive impact on all who participate as well as our communities and the world which we all share. Thank you in advance for any participation and support for our project to promote healing through music.

DelilahSong is meant to be fun and free from rules. Simply anyone who wishes to take a turn, play a song and participate in anyway is welcome.

Goals:

* World Record for Most People to Play One Guitar (Delilah) to create and sustain a literal healing instrument for all to share
* People / groups from all over the world and from a wide variety of backgrounds, professions and skill level to play (Music is a universal language)
* Have participants play all over world to include a variety of less than normal locations for fun
* Have people play guitar places no one has ever played a guitar before
* Random locations out of the norm and out of the blue to brighten peoples day (i.e. malls, stores, restaurants etc- public places on spur of the moment)
* Pop up locations (Invite people to come take a turn at various locations for short timeframe: from a few hours to a few days)
* Mini Marathons- people playing non-stop one after another for set duration
* Pay tribute to musicians by recording songs with their guitars and Delilah

These are just a few ideas we have to create a unique interactive musical experience
